Meet our whole team – we are a team of 10 STEM educators from all over the United States.
STEM Activities for Kids was founded by Meredith Anderson, a mechanical engineer with a graduate degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), after she spent years homeschooling her own children and realizing how challenging it was to find high-quality, classroom-ready STEM challenges that were also fun.
What started as a single blog grew into a collaborative platform with contributors from across the country; classroom teachers, STEM specialists, curriculum designers, and fellow engineers, all sharing the same frustration and the same passion.

One thing that all of our writers have in common is that we are passionate the the activities we create and recommend are meaningful. There are a lot of so-called STEM activities being shared online that are glorified crafts, or use expensive, difficult-to-source materials. One of our core goals is to provide rigorous yet age-appropriate activities that don’t break the bank!
